We are moving! (and other very important updates)

Over our 10 years in operation, we had the privilege of working with great organization in three multiuse spaces including the CARFAC Saskatchewan Offices, the Creative City Centre, and 1761 Wallace Street. We called Wallace Street home since 2020.

Our Board of Directors is actively searching for a space, but we don’t currently have a home for September 1 onwards and our lease expires on August 31.

For the month of August we will be holding sales, clearing some furniture, and hosting events to help prepare for a move. Watch our social media and here for updates!

What can you do to help?

#1

Come in during August and shop! We need your help to reduce stock to pack!

You can also ask volunteers in shop about anything we are clearing out besides our usual art supplies! We would love items to go to happy homes and reduce unnecessary items before our move.

Items in our storage area that don’t get rolled out every Saturday include:

  • Picture frame glass in various sizes
  • Large pieces of foam core, acrylic, and other materials
  • Broken racks (we harvest for pieces)
  • and more!

#2

Hang on to your donations or choose to donate to other organizations this month! Donations will still be accepted on August 8 and 15, but volunteers may be a bit more picky and may turn items away that are bulky or large.

All donations will be paused on August 22 and 29.

Other organizations that could use your secondhand art supplies include:

  • Your nearest community school
  • Organizations that serve woman and youth like the North Central Family Centre and YWCA Encore Markets (check each of their websites for donation details)

#3

If you or someone you know is renting a multiuse space that you believe could house our volunteer-led operations, please send all leads to our Executive Director, Erika Folnović, at artsupplyexchange@gmail.com.

Below is our wish list for the space:

  • Ground Floor - We want to ensure an easy donating experience and don't want items to be taken on stairs.
  • Transit Friendly - We want to be within a few city blocks to three or more bus routes.
  • Central - We want a central location in a neighborhood like Downtown, Warehouse District, Cathedral Village, or Heritage.

#4

Become a member! Membership is $20/year and is active 1-year from the purchase date. We are not a charitable organization and cannot issue tax receipts but membership is one way to support us monetarily where there is a benefit to you! Please note: members must be residents of Saskatchewan.

Our AGM will be taking place on August 20 and only active members can participate. Not only are we holding our AGM, but this small influx of monetary support can help us in the short term with unexpected costs related to our move.

Membership can be purchased in store from a volunteer or on our online Square Site: https://artsupplyexchange.square.site/

#5

Once we have a better scope of what is being moved and where we are going, we will put calls for volunteers to help. However, this will only happen if we believe our current volunteer force will be unable to do everything on our own.

We use an online sign-up form for all volunteer shifts and a link will be posted on our website and social media pages if volunteers are needed.

Our last open day at 1761 Wallace Street is August 29.

Look on our social media for details close to this date for any move details.

Hi Reusers! Below are our open days for January - April 2026. We will typically be closed once a month, except for February where we are going to try to be open every week. We will be CLOSED: January 3, March 7, and April 4. All other Saturdays we will do our best to be open, but as a reminder we are completely volunteer run and people get sick or emergencies happen. Help Us Name our New Mascot!

Are you a naming wizard? Do you have a compulsion to name cute little animals? Do you want to offer your expertise at naming characters? We need your help!

The wonderfully talented Terri Lemire designed us a raccoon character for our 10th anniversary but this character is currently nameless. At our 10th Anniversary Craft Social & Party, we will have a name suggestion station, but you can also give us your name suggestions here anytime before Saturday, October 18! We will post an official name for the character once we take all the suggestions to our volunteers to vote.

Come Make a Journal at our 10th Anniversary Craft Social & Party!

Join our volunteer Emily for a journal activity station at our 10th Anniversary Craft Social & Party

Emily Taillefer was born and raised in Regina, and is the artist and owner of Papered Fragments. Emily’s specialty is creating handmade, one-of-a-kind journals, and curating ephemera sets from repurposed and vintage materials. She enjoys hosting journal-making workshops and teaching people the ease and simplicity of book binding. You can follow her work on Instagram and Facebook @paperedfragments.

Come celebrate with Emily's activity and other fun social crafty things on Saturday, October 18th from 7-10pm at our usual location of 1761 Wallace Street (use our rear door). You can RSVP now. We hope you can join us to celebrate turning 10 years old!
